Bauhütte 4.0 - Sustainable architecture relies on industry 4.0 technologies
Bauhütte 4.0 is a cluster for innovative wooden constructions and was founded in Berlin. It is designed to serve as a platform for the exchange of ideas and information for a wide range of actors in order to promote sustainable urban development.
The cooperation partners, consisting of Fraunhofer IPK, TU Berlin and Tegel Projekt GmbH, are pursuing the intention of counteracting the increasing greenhouse gas emissions in metropolitan areas with new wooden construction methods. Therefore, innovative technologies from the field of Industry 4.0 as well as circular, holistic value chains for urban wooden construction should be established.
Kick-off for the Bauhütte 4.0 project is an investigation of the potential of Industry 4.0 for value chains of "Urban wooden Constructions".
